PSP screen replacement trouble?

My dad e-mailed two places for repair, and one of them said
"No sorry, keep it or sell it for parts."
And the other said "Yes usually I can fix these and it comes to $59 plus postage and stuff. There is a possibility that there is unrepairable damage to the motherboard but is highly unlikely."
I just spent over 100 bucks for the system and 20 for my friend's screen so I'm broke at the moment trying to fix this thing.
Basically I cracked my screen when I dropped it and replaced it with my friend's screen which I know works. His PSP buttons are ruined so he let me take his apart for the screen since he's getting the slim version. Anyways when I cut it on the screen remains off. I've tried with both the battery and batter with a/c. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
make sure the flat wires that come off the screen are "plugged in" ALL the way. If that is not the problem why not put your buttons into your friends? Good luck!!
