PSP 2000, Component, A/V TV Connection Issues.. Please Help?
So I bought the new PSP 2000 about 2 days ago, and I must say it's a joy. I have the first PSP, but it was destroyed in about 3 feet of water. Anyway... Tonight I bought connectors to enable me to connect it to my TV. I was really looking forward to checking out the games on a larger screen. But, I bought the wrong type of cables. I got AV. It displays perfectly on the TV with everything else, but won't play games. The instructions clearly state that the AV connectors wont play progressive, which I overlooked & I need Component, obviously. But here is my Q.. If I get the Component cables, is it possible to connect them into the AV inputs on the TV, and would that work? And if not, is there a sort of adapter that would enable me to do this? The TV in my room doesn't have Component jacks, only AV, with extra set of audio jacks (meaning Yellow-White-Red+another White & Red below the Y-W-R). Our big screen however, does supply both types. Thanks so much in advance for your help!
nope, you must have a tv that supports component video inputs.. well.. if you have a tv with an hdmi input, you could run a the components through a audio/video receiver to encode it for an hdmi output... but if you dont have a tv with component ins, then i doubt you have an hdmi jack.
