Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas marks the fifth game in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the third of the games to be released with 3D programming, and more enhanced features. It was originally released for the PlayStation 2, and has have versions released for Xbox and PC . The PlayStation 2 version was released in the United States in October 2004, while the Xbox and PC releases had to wait until January 2005. All three platforms have seen amazingly incredible sales numbers which make San Andreas the best selling installment of the series. Even more recently, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas PSP became available, bringing the total number of platforms to four.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was the source of a bit of controversy due to the “Hot Coffee Mini Game”. This part of the game caused the release to be pulled from the shelves, because it changed the rating to adult due to the sexual nature of this part of the game play. Because of the nature, this portion will be left to you to find out more about! This part was still left in the code, and can be unlocked. We will leave that part to you, too.

The plot involves Carl “CJ” Johnson who returns back to Los Santos from Liberty City after hearing that his mother was murdered. Game play includes several missions, side missions, mini-games and more. The plot evolves as CJ connects with some of his old friends, and some characters from the previous GTA games make appearances. This game also adds more to the main character, as the things he wears, the tattoos he displays, as well as the haircuts he has, all affect his perception to the other characters.

Some new features that are part of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas are:
• Mini-Games: Throughout the game you will find several mini games you can play in arcades, and even in CJ’s house. You can also place bets on horse racing, pool, and things of the like.
• Gang Wars: Part of the game requires you to fight rival gangs to gain control of their territories. Once you gain control, they may come under rival attack and must be defended or you will lose control.
• Money: Now players can do more with their money in comparison to the previous titles. You can spend money on gambling, food, clothes, and weapons. Careful not to go into debt though, or you will get harassing phone calls!
• Girlfriends: CJ can date girls! But, you must be careful to keep them happy, and keep them away from other girlfriends.
• Other: The game includes rival gang symbols that you can go through and spray out with the Grove Street graffiti. You can collect oysters and horseshoes throughout the game, too.
The statistics provided as of March 26, 2008 state that 21.5 million copies. At one point in September 2007, San Andreas was the best selling video game in history.
